VEA Newport Beach, A Marriott Resort & Spa

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The location was great, near Fashion Island. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable, little small, with beautiful ocean views. Breakfast was delicious, and the pool area was relaxing, but little crowded.

My husband and I are currently staying at the VEA for our pre move trip back from Hong Kong to the US. We are on our 4th of 5th day stay. Staff seems ti be happy to be working here which says a lot about the company and management. We were welcomed by Sammer at the Front Desk who was a wonderful first person to meet as we checked in after a long flight from Hong Kong! All the staff at the restaurant were super nice, but wanted to give a shout out to Jay who served us most of the time we were there! He was very positive and great person to be greeted with first thing in the morning! Fabiola was very professional and remembered our names each time we saw her. Our room was well maintained! Housekeeper named Lilian or Lily had a beautiful smile and a hard worker! She was super fast in making the perfectly made bed! Kudos in hiring a stellar team! Anyway, big thanks to all and wishing you continued success!

It was a pleasure staying at the hotel. What made my stay even better was the free shuttle service the valet provides and Alan was a great driver. He asked how his driving was and I told him I usually get car sick from being in cars but not from his driving! Chance on my side, he was able to take me to many places throughout my stay. He was also very charming!

As a brown Mexican... I have to say this. I appreciate the much love & unbiased service. Everyone was very welcoming, and nice. I feel sometimes we shy away from places because the workers aren't as pleasant. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. Nice hotel, and my 3 yr old enjoyed the heated pool.

Just the all around best experience. The hospitality isn't stuffy. So comfy and kind. My friend and I even accidentally sat ourselves at the restaurant when we should have seen a host and they were so gracious and silly with us about it. Housekeeping was so sweet and went above and beyond. Also valet dudes were efficient and kind.

Im leaving a raving review....bc honestly I was reslly impressed. I travel often and have stayed at many hotels all diff types. After doing lots od research this worked with location , price point ammaenties . Etc. The pictures online do Not do it justice. From the moment we showed up , the seevice was top shelf, the place was really well done, devour, etc. The guest services were amazing. Everything we needed was taken care of. And most of all the room was beautiful, with an insane view of the pool and ocean. This is th perfect place of you want an affordable hotel with top shelf service. All the amenities were clean , looked after and staff would do their utmost to make ur stay quality . So glad I got to experience this.

Nice place. Very cool pool. Staff was great. Fitness area above average. Bar was good size. Didn't eat there. Nice views on upper floor. The only kind of unusual thing was you have to walk outside into a center courtyard area that 9 or so stories high to get to the rooms.

First time at Vea. Good location, and some good views. The were rooms ok, not really upscale, but comfortable. We liked the big pool and pool bar, they had a nice restaurant and bar, and a nice 2nd bar area with more private seating areas. They have outdoor seating with fire pits too. We also visited the spa. Not the biggest spa, but we enjoyed it. I especially liked the Eucalyptus sauna and cold foot bath. My massage and body scrub was very relaxing. Great location, can walk across the street for plenty of shopping and eating options, or take a 10 minute drive to the pier and there was plenty to do there as well. No issues with the staff, everyone seemed very friendly and helpful.
